FREE WEBINAR -Predictable Socket Preservation and Guided Bone Regeneration of Alveolar Bone in Extraction Sites for Future Implant Placement - Dr. Jim Grisdale - 1 CE Hour

Course Outline

Prevention of alveolar bone loss and maintenance of alveolar bone structure are crucial for long term success and stability of conventional and implant-supported prosthetic replacements. The effectiveness of socket preservation and guided bone regeneration in preserving and regenerating hard tissue in extraction sockets is well documented in the scientific literature. Soft and hard tissue deformities resulting from tooth extraction can lead to unsatisfactory results including unacceptable esthetics, poor phonetics and compromised homecare practice.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of the course, attendees will have learned:

  • the principles and rationale for socket preservation and guided bone regeneration

  • proper diagnosis and treatment planning for socket preservation

  • how to properly prepare the extraction site

  • how to select and use the appropriate bone grafting material and membrane

  • suturing techniques and post-operative care management
